India logs 13,216 new Covid cases

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) A total of 13,216 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,32,83,793 while the death toll rose to 5,24,840 as 18 more people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand 8,148 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally of recoveries to 4,26,90,845. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.63 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 68,108, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 85.73 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 196 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
