New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Gabresus said on Monday that all those on the frontlines battling the Coronavirus (Covid-19) should be provided the vaccine first.
He said health workers should be given the vaccine first because they are on the frontline battling the pandemic, saving lives and keeping the entire health system stable.
Altogther 172 countries have so far been connected to the COVAX Facility launched by the World Health Organisation (WHO) with the aim of bringing the Corona vaccine being developed worldwide to all countries in a quick and inexpensive manner.
