New Delhi, Jul 14 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday inaugurated the second plasma bank of Delhi in the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) for the treatment of coronavirus infected people.
Mr Kejriwal, along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, visited LNJP hospital to inaugurate the second plasma bank of Delhi.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal said,“After huge success of our first plasma bank, we launched Delhi's 2nd plasma bank today at LNJP Hospital #DelhiFightsCorona”.
The first plasma bank was started at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) here.
”If you have recovered from Covid-19 and your age is between 18 and 60 and your weight is above 50 kg, then you may donate plasma for Covid-19 patients. However, women who have given birth or the persons with comorbidities, are not eligible to donate plasma,” the CM had said earlier, while inaugurating plasma bank at ILBS.
“You cannot donate plasma if your weight is less than 50 kg, you have ever been pregnant, you are diabetic on insulin, your Blood Pressure is more than 140 and diastolic less than 60 or more than 90,” he had said.
“You cannot donate plasma if you have uncontrolled diabetes or hypertension with change in medication in last 28 days, you are a Cancer Survivor or you have chronic kidney/heart/lung or liver disease,” Mr Kejriwal added.
