India logs 11,903 new Covid cases,  311 deaths

New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) A total of 11,903 people have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours in the country, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 3,43,08,140 while the death toll rose to 4,59,191 as 311 succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, 14,159 more people have recuperated from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 3,36,97,740.
The recovery rate stands at 98.22 per cent, highest since March last year.

The cumulative active caseload now stands at 1,51,209, less than one per cent of the total cases, the figures showed.

According to the bulletin, 61.12 crore COVID tests have been conducted so far.
Meanwhile, India has administered 107.29 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
