One more Delhi Police personnel dies of COVID, total deaths in force rises to 8

New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI) One more Delhi Police personnel lost his life to the COVID contagio in the city, taking the death toll in the force to eight.
53-year-old ASI Sanjeev Kumar who was posted with the Rohini District's crime branch breathed his last on Friday night.
The departmetnt on Saturdayu expressed grief over their warrior's demise and said that he sacrificed his life in the fight against the pandemic and his services during these difficult times will always be remembered by the force.
So far, Delhi Police has lost eight personnel to the pandemic, while around 500 of them have contracted the virus.
Meanwhile, around 200 of the Delhi Police personnel have recovered and are now fine.

India's Covid tally nears 20 lakh-mark with 13 lakh recoveries registered

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) India's COVID-19 tally reached 19,64,537 on Thursday, with 56,282 cases being reported in a day with recoveries rising to 13,28,336, including 46,121 in past 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said in its daily update.
