Delhi records 1840 fresh COVID cases, recovery rate drops to 89.51 pc

New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) National capital has recorded 1,840 fresh infections in the past 24 hours while the recovery rate dropped to 89.51 per cent.
Overall COVID cases tally of the city has now reached 167604 till date, while the city's active case load is 13208 after 688 such cases were added since Wednesday.
Total cured and discharged cases in the past one day were 1130, the state health bulletin said here.
Recoveries till date in the city have today crossed the 1.5 lakh mark, with the figure presently at 150027.
After 22 deaths reported in the past 24 hours, city's pandemic fatality toll has now reached 4369 till date, the government data said.
Total number of containment zones as on Thursday are 734, while patients under the home isolation presently stand at 6596, after witnessing an increase of 388 in the past one day.
