New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) In view of the COVID situation in the city of Pune the central government will extend every possible support to solve the problem.
Union Minister for Environment Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday chaired a review meeting over video conferencing on the COVID sitaution in Pune with the Deputy Chief Minister Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Pune's Mayor.
Speaking to the Ministers and Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol and other officials over the covid situation in the city, Mr Javadekar discussed measures in view of bringing the things under control.
Mr Javadekar stressed on wearing masks and maintaining social distancing as key measures for staying safe from COVID, and further appealed to the people to strictly follow guidelines, so that they can remain safe.
He also assured that whatever help and support is needed in the fight against COVID , the government in centre is ready to provide for it.
He further said that the requirement of ventilators in the government medical college Pune for fighting COVID will also be fulfilled.
Mr Javadekar appealed to the people of the city to maintain hygiene and cleanliness, and told them to stay strong and fight Corona with all efforts.
