new Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) The national capital recorded 1215 fresh COVID infections in the past 24 hours, the state health bulletin said here on Thursday.
The active case load on the city has increased by 134 patients since Wednesday, and now the number stands at 11271.
The overall cases tally of the capital till date has reached 157354, while the recovery rate stands at 90.13 per cent.
Total COVID recoveries across the city have now reached 141826, after 1059 patients were cured/discharged in the past one day.
Meanwhile, the COVID fatalities in the city have mounted to 4257, after 22 more people lost their battle to the pandemic since Wednesday.
Containment zones in the city have increased to 587 , after 27 more areas were put under the arrangement.
There were 17004 COVID tests conducted in the city in the past 24 hours and now, the total number of tests conducted till date since the beginning have reached 1375193.
