Gujarat allocated Rs 2300 crore in five years for court buildings

New Delhi, April 30 (UNI) Gujarat government has allocated Rs 2300 crore during the last 5 years for Court buildings, while Rs 1740 crore have been allocated to the judicial department this year, the Gujarat government said on Saturday as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Law Minister Rajendra Trivedi participated in the conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts in New Delhi.
In a statement issued here, the Gujarat government said in the year 2010-11, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and present Prime Minister Narendra Modi allocated Rs 780 crore to provide infrastructural facilities in the judiciary of Gujarat.
The statement said that during discussion on various agenda items, the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana expressed his satisfaction about the infrastructure facilities of the Gujarat High Court.
