New Delhi, Jul 21 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that loss of lives in West Garo hills in Meghalaya due to flood is disturbing.

Taking to twitter, he said that he has assured the State Chief Minister of all possible help from the Centre.
“Loss of lives due to the floods in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya is very disturbing. I have spoken to the Chief Minister, Shri @SangmaConrad and assured him all possible help from the Central Government”, he said.
Nation stands resolutely with the people of Meghalaya in these trying times, Home Minister further added.
Due to flood in the plain belt of West Garo Hills in Meghalaya, at least five people have lost their lives and over a lakh have been affected so far and most of the affected persons are from Tikrikilla community.
