CAPEX by CPSEs critical driver of economic growth, need to be scaled up: Sitharaman

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Reviewing the performance of CPSEs, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said the CAPEX by CPSEs is a critical driver of economic growth and need to be scaled up for the FYs 2020-21 & 2021-22.
Ms Sitharaman held a video-conference with Secretaries of the Ministries of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Ministry of Coal, along with the CMDs of 14 CPSEs belonging to these Ministries, to review the capital expenditure (CAPEX) in this financial year.
This was fourth in the ongoing series of meetings that the Finance Minister is having with various stakeholders, to accelerate the economic growth in the background of COVID–19 pandemic, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement here.

population to the deadly virus, the EPFO has extended the time limit up to February 28, 2021 for submission of Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) in respect of the Pensioners drawing pension under the EPS 1995 and whose Life certificate is due in any month till February 28, 2021.
