Famous Hindi writer Archana Verma no more

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) A famous Hindi writer, who helped in editing 'Hans' magazine, Archana Verma, has passed away at the Patel Chest Institute, where she was admitted.
According to family sources, the 72-year-old was admitted to Patel Chest Institute after sudden discomfort and illness. She breathed her last on Saturday.
She is survived by husband K G Verma and two sons.
Born on April 6, 1946, Archana was a teacher in the Hindi Department at Miranda House College, University of Delhi and was an associate of renowned writer Mannu Bhandari.
She did her MA in Hindi from Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh. Since 1986, she has been editing the 'Hans,' along with famous writer Rajendra Yadav.
'Kuch Dur Tak' , 'Lauta Hai Vijeta' are her collection of poems, while her story collection includes 'Sthagit', 'Rajpaath' and 'Anya Kahaniyan.'
She has also authored a book, criticising famous poet Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala'.
'Asmita Vimarsh Ka Stree Svar,' was a popular book by her, over discussion with women.
He also edited the 'Kathadesh' magazine and was a member of the Hindi Academy, who fought for the rights of women.
