New Delhi, Nov 12 (UNI) Russia on Thursday reaffirmed support to India’s candidature for permanent membership of the UN Security Council and said it was looking forward to further streamlining dedicated partnership and coordination after India becomes non-permanent member of the UNSC in 2021-2022.
Mr Roman Babushkin, Deputy Chief of the Russian embassy, said ties between the two countries go beyond traditional areas and become an increasingly integral part of development strategies of each other. Russia as of now is the only foreign country so deeply involved in the Indian nuclear power sector, contributing to the national energy security, he said at a press conference.
India has shown show growing engagement in the Russian Far East oil and gas, coking coal, diamonds, innovation, infrastructure, civil aviation, ship-building and other projects.
