Delhi govt reduces VAT on diesel from 30 to 16.75 pc

New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) The Delhi government on Thursday reduced Value-Added Tax (VAT) on diesel in the national capital from 30 to 16.75 per cent, bringing the price of the fuel down by Rs 8.36 per liter.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the decision after chairing the Delhi Cabinet meeting here.
'Delhi Cabinet has decided to reduce VAT on diesel from 30% to 16.75%. This will reduce price of diesel in Delhi from Rs 82 to Rs 73.64 i.e. by Rs 8.36 per litre,' Mr Kejriwal said while addressing a digital press conference here.
