Election Commission appoints 2  Spl Expenditure Observers for Bihar Elections

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) In view of upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections, the Election Commission of India has appointed two retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers Ms Madhu Mahajan and Mr BR Balakrishnan as Special Expenditure Observers, an official release of the commission said here on Sunday.
While Ms Madhu Mahajan is a retired IRS officer of 1982 batch, the another Observer Mr Balakrishanan is of 1983 batch.
According to the Commission, both officers will investigate the complaints of inducing voters with free liquor, cash or gifts during the election registered on ‘C Vigil’ or on the commission's helpline 1950 and submit their report the ECI.
