New Education Policy to emphasise on all-round development: Pokhriyal

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Friday said the new education policy incorporates Indian culture and education and emphasises the promotion of Indian languages, arts and culture so that all round development of students can be done.
Dr Pokhriyal, who was addressing a webinar on 'National Education Policy for Holistic Development: Issues, Challenges and Way Ahead' by the Human Resource Development Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Research for Resurgence Foundation, here said the policy incorporates Indian culture and education and emphasises on the promotion of Indian languages, arts and culture so that all-round development of students can be done.
He said it is important and necessary to discuss the innovative education policy that gives new direction to national education. Education was an indispensable means of achieving national and human ideals and goals. The National Education Policy 2020 was a historic and relevant initiative towards achieving these ideals and goals.
