Happy news on 'Happy Onam': Engineering students learning music, fine arts at IIT

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Pandits say Covid-19 is not only a crisis, but also an opportunity- debates and discussions may go on relating to other fields- but in the sphere of education it is really true and unique as the pandemic has opened up some rare and unthinkable avenues, which, earlier, were not even dreamt of.
According to reports, post NEP 2020, with the focus on multidisciplinary learning on technical institutes and the need to nurture creative activities, the Academy of Classical Music and Folk Arts was launched on August 20 at the IIT, Kharagpur.
Classical music maestro Pt Ajoy Chakraborty, who is leading the '100 Ragas Initiative' at the IIT, has advocated for ''blurring of boundaries'' between disciplines.
