EAM calls up Afghan Taliban FM Muttaqi to convey condolences over quake deaths; India sending relief

New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today spoke with Afghan Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to convey condolences at the loss of lives in the 6.3 earthquake that struck northern Afghanistan and said India is sending relief material for those affected.
The EAM said the two FMs also discussed their bilateral ties, since the India visit of the Afghan Taliban foreign minister last month. He also welcomed the improved people-to-people contacts between New Delhi and Kabul.
In a post on X, the EAM said that India is also sending medicines, which will be reaching soon. The two sides also discussed the regional situation, in reference to the tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) IndiGo’s operational disruption entered its third day on Friday, with over 750 flights cancelled across major airports, adding to the more than 550 cancellations reported the previous day.
The airline has called off all 235 flights at Delhi airport on Friday, while operations at Chennai are expected to be affected until 6 pm. Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad have also experienced significant disruptions.
