New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) India has decided to focus on the neighbourhood in resuming Covid-19 vaccine supplies and has sent vaccines to Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Iran, as part of the effort, the MEA said on Thursday.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, at a media briefing, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made the announcement of India resuming supply of vaccines to other countries at the UNGA as part of Vaccine Maitri.
“We have taken the decision to start from the neighbourhood; Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Iran, we have sent vaccines to these countries recently,” he said, adding that the government is constantly reviewing the situation.
