New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a brief meeting on the sidelines of the CICA Ministerial meeting in Nur Sultan, the Kazakh capital, during which they discussed the situation in Afghanistan, and also on cooperation in the SCO and RIC formats.
According to a Russian Embassy press statement on the talks, that were held on Tuesday, “Topical issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as international and regional problems, including the situation in Afghanistan and the Asia-Pacific region, were discussed.
“Special attention was paid to cooperation in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) and RIC (Russia-India-China grouping) formats.”
