Targeting Pakistan, India says it is keen to send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, but 'facing difficulties due to lack of access'

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) India said on Thursday that it is very concerned about the looming humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and has been looking at the possibilities of sending aid, but has been “facing difficulties due to lack of unimpeded access”, in a reference to Pakistan which has refused to allow access to India to send aid.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, to a question on the issue of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan said a media briefing: “India’s support to the people of Afghanistan is very clear, it is a people-led interaction and our involvement with that country.
We have been extending support over many years for the people of Afghanistan.
