New Delhi/London, May 7 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who attended the coronation ceremony of King Charles III in London on behalf of the Government of India, also interacted with Indian students from various leading Universities of the UK.
In a tweet, the MEA spokesperson said that the Vice President urged the students to strive towards excellence and appreciated their role in advancing bilateral relations.
“VP Jagdeep Dhankhar @VPIndia met and interacted with Indian students from various leading Universities of the UK.
“VP urged students to strive towards excellence and appreciated their role in advancing India-Great Britain relations.”
Earlier, the Vice President in a tweet said he was happy to be present at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Saturday.
“On behalf of the people of India, I extend my warmest congratulations to the newly crowned King and Queen of the UK. May India-UK ties grow stronger in the years ahead,” he posted.
The MEA spokesperson said that VP Dhankhar’s visit marks another milestone in the India-Great Britain Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted his congratulations to the UK King.
“Warmest congratulations to King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their coronation. We are sure that the India-UK relationship will be strengthened further in the coming years.”
