New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, in its endeavor to spread the message of cleanliness and to promote clean and green environment on Wednesday launched a specially decorated train with slogans on ‘Swacchta’ and greetings on the occasion of Diwali. This train was formally launched by Mr Sharat Sharma, Director (Operations), DMRC at Udyog Bhawan Metro station. This special six coach train will keep running on Line-2 that is, Samyapur Badli to HUDA City Centre with decorated exteriors to promote importance of cleanliness to inspire public especially, youth/children, a DMRC spokesperson said. The exterior of this train have been exclusively decorated in colorful theme of nature, spirit of festivity and Diwali Greetings include one liner messages to the public to provide clean and green future to their children by saying ‘No to Crackers’. Such an initiative has the potential to spread the message on importance of cleanliness and inspire everyone to contribute in the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, a Government initiative, by keeping their surroundings clean and staying away from any such act which damages the environment/surroundings.
