Digital compilation of 25 lakh legacy records to complete by mid-August: Delhi govt

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) Delhi Government has set a deadline to completely digitalize 25 lakhs of the legacy records by mid-August. 20 lakh among them have been already converted while the process is underway for the rest of the document, officials at the Revenue Department said on Wednesday.
A meeting in this regard was convened on July 8 which Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot chaired. A follow-up meeting was convened on Tuesday.
"The emphasis of the meeting was on digitization of all legacy certificate records/data (roughly 25 lakh certificates) at all district offices in Delhi. This has been a perennial issue for citizens who often raised grievances for being unable to get certificates issued by the revenue department due to their inability to verify legacy records to issue new certificates," a senior official said.
