Defence Ministry denies issuing report on Pahalgam attackers' identities

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) The Defence Ministry today rejected reports being circulated on media regarding the identities and background of Pahalgam attackers, saying that the Indian Armed Forces have not issued or prepared any such document.
The Defence Ministry in a statement said, "A report on identities and background of the Pahalgam attackers is being circulated through media/social media handles and attributed to the Services."
"No authorised media handle of the Indian Armed Forces has prepared or issued any such document," the statement said.

NIA court sentences key accused in Pakistan Taliban linked terror radicalisation case to seven yrs RI

New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has convicted and sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) a key accused in a terror radicalisation and recruitment case linked with the proscribed Taliban and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist organisations.
The NIA special court in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has also imposed a fine of Rs.63,000 on Maharashtra resident Hamraz Worshid Shaikh, who pleaded guilty during the trial that began in April 2026.
