Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry Assumes Charge as AOC-in-C, Central Air Command

New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry today assumed charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Indian Air Force's Central Air Command, succeeding Air Marshal Balakrishnan Manikantan, who retired on May 31 after four decades of service.
Commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF in December 1989, Air Marshal Chaudhry brings with him more than 36 years of operational, staff and diplomatic experience. He is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, College of Air Warfare and National Defence College.
Throughout his distinguished career, Air Marshal Chaudhry has held several key appointments across the IAF. His assignments have spanned operational, staff and diplomatic roles, including a tenure as Defence Attaché at the Embassy of India in Sweden, with concurrent accreditation to Norway, Finland and Denmark.
