New Delhi, Dec 7 , UNI The Unnao rape survivor, who was allegedly set ablaze on Thursday, died of cardiac arrest at the Safdarjang hospital.
"She suffered a cardiac arrest at 2310 hrs on Friday night and we tried to resuscitate her, but she could not survive and at 23:40 hrs, she died," sources said.
The 23-year-old woman, who suffered 90 per cent burns, was airlifted to National Capital from a Lucknow hospital on Thursday with 90 per cent burns.
She was put on life support systems on Friday morning being in a very serious condition.
The woman was allegedly set ablaze by some men, including the person accused of raping her, while she was on her way to appear in a court for the hearing of the case on Thursday morning.
