Max hospital bills 1.8 Cr to Covid-19 patient; AAP, Congress leaders demand probe

New Delhi, Sept 8 (UNI) One of the leading hospital chains is in the centre of controversy after it charged a whopping 1.8 crore for the treatment of a Covid-19 patient at its facility.
The issue has been noted by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharati who lashed out at the hospital over Twitter. The MLA told UNI that he has asked Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain to initiate a probe.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Manish Tewari has also taken cognizance of the matter and written to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya demanding an explanation from Max.
