New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Delhi Police has busted an inter-state child trafficking racket and rescued 14 children from their claws, the police said on Wednesday.
According to DCP Railways Harendra Kumar Singh, the police had got an input regarding some children being trafficked from Bihar and being brought here via Mahananda Express.
Thereby, with the help of the NGOs Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Salam Balak Trust and RPF, Delhi Police conducted this operation at the Old Delhi Railway station, where they kept a hawk's eye on the movement of passengers through CCTV and physically, and during this the police apprehended 10 people, rescuing 14 children whom they had brought along with them.
