Two Army officials arrested in bribery case: CBI

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two Army officials in an alleged bribery case, said the agency statement.
A case was registered on the basis of a complaint against 2 Army officials from Southern Command in Pune. The complainant was allegedly selected to the post of MTS in the examination taken by Army Ordnance Corps in Pune and received call letter and he was to join at Ordnance factory in Maharashtra’s Wardha along with the original call letter allegedly under the pretext of early joining formalities, the accused took the original call letter of the complainant and allegedly demanded bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh and agreed to accept initial amount of Rs 50 thousand, claimed CBI.
An amount of Rs 30 thousand was transferred by the complainant to the account of the accused. Subsequently, both the accused allegedly came to accept the remaining amount of Rs 20 thousand.

New Delhi, April 23 (UNI) A Special Court in Delhi on Tuesday extended judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha till May 7 in the Delhi Excise Policy case.
They were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
