New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI) Congress on Thursday condoled the death of 13 Indian Air Force personnel, who were on board the An-32 aircraft, which crashed in Arunachal Pradesh on June 3.
"My salutations and tribute to the air warriors of Indian Air Force who lost their precious lives in the AN-32 aircraft. Extremely saddened", tweeted AICC Communication In-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala.
"My deepest condolences to the families of our brave men. Nation shall forever remain indebted to their valiant contributions", he added.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Air Force announced that all passengers, eight crew members and five armed force personnel in the aircraft, died.
"IAF pays tribute to the brave Air-warriors, who lost their life during the An32 crash on June 3 and stands by with the families of the victims", tweeted Indian Air Force.
The announcement came two days after the wreckage of the missing aircraft was found in Arunachal Pradesh.
The aircraft, which was on its way to Mechuka Advanced Landing Ground in Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, went missing minutes after it took off from Jorhat in Assam.
