CLAT 2018: Apex court relief for aggrieved students

CLAT 2018: Apex court relief for aggrieved students

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the National University of Advanced Legal Studies to prepare a fresh and revised merit list of students who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test.
The list should be prepared after giving compensatory marks to students who faced technical glitches during the online examination, the apex court ruled.
Headed by Justice Uday Umesh Lalit and also comprising Justice Deepak Gupta, the vacation bench passed the order after several students complained of facing technical glitches and other difficulties while giving the CLAT 2018 examination.
The Supreme Court also made it clear that the first round of counselling for allotting seats to students on the basis of CLAT 2018, will go on but the second will be done on the basis of revised merit list.
Around 400 students are expected to be given compensatory marks on the basis of the formula devised by a committee led by a former Kerala High Court judge. The revised merit list should be prepared by June 16 as directed by the apex court.
