Three CMs support caste based census, days after Centre tells SC it is against it

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Demands for a caste based census were raised again on Sunday as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren voiced their support to it.
This comes after Centre told Supreme Court that it is against collecting any information on castes or backward classes, other than Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs).
All three chief ministers were in the national capital to attend a meeting of Left Wing Extremism affected states.
