BJP slams Kerala CM over gold smuggling case

New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) The BJP on Monday launched a fresh attack on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over a case related to alleged gold scam, and accused him of 'misusing' his office and the state machinery.
The saffron party also called upon the CM to allow a free and fair investigation into the case.
"Events of the last few days (in Kerala), have pointed the needle of suspicion on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister's Office and his family in a gold smuggling scandal which was exposed in 2020. There is an unprecedented crisis in Kerala. The CM is misusing his office and the state administration," said Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Rajeev Chandrasekhar, while addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here.
