US President Biden, PM Modi to meet in Japan for Quad summit

Washington/New Delhi, April 28 (UNI) US President Joe Biden will be meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Quad summit in Japan in May, the White House has announced.
President Biden will be visiting South Korea and Japan from May 20-24 to boost ties and take forward the Biden-Harris Administration’s “rock-solid commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific and to U.S. treaty alliances with the Republic of Korea and Japan”.
The trip will build on more than a year of intensive diplomacy with the Indo-Pacific, including the U.S.-ASEAN Special Summit on May 12-13 in Washington, D.C.
