New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) A new documentary on the early days of coronavirus outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan shows disturbing scenes in hospital wards where doctors and patients are unable to fathom the new disease.
Titled '76 Days', denoting the number of days of lockdown in Wuhan, the epicentre of the pandemic, the film was shot inside four different hospitals in Wuhan. Directed by New York-based Chinese-American filmmaker Hao Wu in collaboration with two Chinese journalists, '76 Days' premiered at the 45th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this week.
The film, an American production, reveals rare footage of hospital scenes inside Wuhan, where it all began before spreading across the world. The 93-minute documentary film is also a tribute to the frontline workers, who cared for the distressed patients while trying to calm the nerves of the infected and their anxious relatives.
