National Convention 2022 of AADEE held in New Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The National Convention 2022 of AADEE, the association of Akashvani & Doordarshan Engineering Employees, held at Rang Bhavan Auditorium here on Wednesday.
The inaugural session was attended by Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal husbandry & Dairying and Information & Broadcasting L. Murugan. The CEO Prasar Bharati Mayank Agarwal was also in attendance.
The office bearers of the association Pulak Ray, President, Anil Kumar S General Secretary and Prakash Thapliyal General Convener were on the dais.
Chandrashekhar Shetty, National Spokesperson and Publicity Secretary gave the welcome speech.
While welcoming the ministers he mentioned about the support given by Parliamentarians on the view of AADEE that It is high time to further strengthen AIR & DD when India is poised to become a developed country under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Pulak, in his speech mentioned about the contributions made by the subordinate engineering staff, the continuous efforts done by the association to protect AIR & DD installations when the broadcaster was getting shrunk by some anti people policies of Prasar Bharati since 2017.
He mentioned some cadre related issues where the staff are subjected to injustice. He urged the management to take steps to solve the pay related issues. He also requested the ministers to intervene in the matter and get justice to the employees.
Anilkumar S. general Secretary of AADEE explained about the real duties and responsibilities of the National public broadcaster, the deviation done by Prasar Bharati harati as it has been closing transmitters without bringing proper alternatives, the danger of reducing the terrestrial transmission. He mentioned the efforts of employees.
The CEO appreciated the efforts and contributions done by the sub ordinate engineering staff and he assured that steps will be taken to meet the justified demands of the association. He also assured that the Prasar Bharati will keep the doors open for negotiations to find solutions on the Pay related matters. There would be steps to make the Broadcaster more popular with technical up gradation.
Murugan said that he has noted about the excellent contributions done by the technical staff in extreme conditions. He added that it is very important that the broadcaster should be on the top of all when India is going to be a developed country.
He said that all efforts would be done from the government to find an end to the serious problems faced by the employees. He also advised the Prasar Bharati to get in touch with association regularly and maintain a cordial atmosphere. He assured to take care of every issue in the department and also promised to extend every support to the broadcaster under the leadership of Minister of l&B Anurag Singh Thakur.
Devusinh Chauhan recalled the good old days of Akashvani &Doordarshan. He advised the Prasar Bharati management to not waste any time and find early and permanent solutions faced by employees on the problems created due to misinterpretations of some earlier orders.
He also honoured some of the office bearers of association for their contributions.
