New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday inaugurated by virtual mode, 22 bamboo clusters in nine states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Karnataka.
A logo for the National Bamboo Mission was also released. Lauding the success of the National Bamboo Mission, Mr Tomar said the country is now gearing up to increase the export of bamboo products.
Addressing the video-conference, the Union Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always strove for the protection and progress of local industries, so that the local artisans get a source of livelihood.
