Delhi Cong holds dharna demanding deferment of NEET-JEE exams

New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) A large number of Congress workers, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ch Anil Kumar, held a 'dharna' outside the Education Ministry, Shastri Bhawan on Friday, demanding deferment of the NEET-JEE exams.
Mr Kumar said that the Covid-19 pandemic cases have been witnessing a record spike across the country, and it would not be prudent to hold these exams now.
Besides Mr Kumar, prominent among those who participated in the dharna included Ex MP Krishna Tirath, vice presidents Jai Kishan and Mudit Agarwal, former Delhi Minister Prof Kiran Walia, Congress leader of East MCD Rinku, Ex-MLAs Amrish Gautam and Veer Singh Dhingan, DCC presidents Virender Kasana, Harikishan Jindal, Madan Khorwal, Mohd Usman, Vishnu Agarwal, Dinesh Advocate, Rajesh Chauahn, MCs Guddi Devi and Sulakshana Sindhi, Delhi Cantonment Board member Nand Kishore, Sandeep Goswami, Parvez Alam former Ministers, ex-MLAs, Municipal Councillors, District and Block Congress Committee presidents and Congress workers.
