‘Democracy or Democrazy’: Big Boss 19 trailer themed 'Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’ unveiled

New Delhi, Aug 7(UNI) The countdown for Bigg Boss 19 has begun, with the Salman Khan-hosted reality show set to storm screens from August 24. This time, the game turns truly political, as the Bigg Boss house transforms into a Parliament.
Fans are buzzing with excitement after the trailer revealed Salman Khan, dressed as a politician, making a grand entrance into the Parliament-themed Bigg Boss house, greeting in a quirky namaskar style.
Salman declared that this season “marks a shift from chaos to democrazy: Aisa pehli baar hua 18–19 saalon mein… This time, Bigg Boss won’t be about crazy drama, but about democrazy. Every small and big decision will be in the hands of the housemates…”
The new theme, 'Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar' (Homeowners' Government), gives contestants the power to make decisions, but with consequences and public scrutiny.
He also cautioned the "gharwales to be ready for anjam(consequences) and aavam (public)."
Streaming first on JioCinema with a delayed telecast on Colors TV, the new season promises high drama under the theme of ‘democrazy,’ where contestants will rule the house — but every decision will come at a price.
Salman’s return as the moderator of chaos, paired with his trademark charisma, guarantees new theatrics for viewers.
Expanding further, Salman adds: "'Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar' ka matlab hai power unke haath mein, aur jab power milti hai, toh asli chehre saamne aate hain aur decisions lene ka poora haq diya gaya hai par har decision ke saath ek consequence bhi aata hai."
With this twist, Bigg Boss 19 transforms the format: participants will collectively govern the house, wielding real authority over daily rules and dynamics.
The show is going to premiere on August 24, on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM, followed by a simultaneous broadcast on COLORS TV at 10:30 PM. To take it up a notch, fans can also catch an unfiltered 24-hour live feed on the platform, offering a non-stop glimpse into the action.
This season, Salman’s signature style remains central, but the focus shifts as contestants are no longer just players; they are rulers, turning the house into a democratic battleground.
