Winners of short film contest on Patriotism announced

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Director Abhijeet Paul's movie 'Am I?' has bagged the first prize in the 'Online Short Film Contest' organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), to create a patriotic mood surrounding this year’s Independence Day.
The contest went live on July 14 on the MyGov portal and ended on August 7. The contest was hosted on the www.MyGov.in website for receiving the entries.
The second prize was given to movie 'Ab India Banega Bharat', directed by Debojo Sanjiv, while the third prize was bagged by the film '10 Rupees', directed by Yuvraj Gokul.
The theme for the entries revolved around patriotism, equating it to 'Atmanirbharta' (self-reliance) as the new mantra of progress for the nation. The Ministry today declared the winners of this contest.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, in a tweet, congratulated the winners of the contest and thanked all the participants for their contribution and making the short film contest a 'roaring success.'
"Heartiest congratulations to the winners of #NFDC #ShortFilm #Contest on the theme of '#Patriotism -Marching towards #Atmanirbharta' & thank you to all the participants for their outstanding contribution in making this competition a roaring success," Mr Javadekar said.
