Karnataka will stop Asvamedha Yagna of BJP: Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, May 16 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) Karnataka President H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday said that his recent remarks that Karnataka will stop the Asvamedha Yagna of the Bharatiya Janata Party appears to has come true.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that he had made the remark some time ago to stop the victory trail of the BJP across the country, and it appears to have come true.

In ancient times, Kings used to conduct Asvamedha Yagna, by sending a white horse with a kingdom's flag to regions across far and wide to establish his reign and supremacy.

Mr Kumaraswamy was also highly critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks that the BJP would form the Government by any means. It only means that he is also favouring horse trading, The JD(S) leader said and added that it was unbecoming of a Prime Minister to say so. If it was Amit Shah such remarks could be tolerated as he was the President of the Party. But Mr Modi had crossed his limits, he claimed.

He also criticisied the BJP government for misusing its power and let lose Contitutionaly set up organisations to meet its end by threatening and coercing political leaders in the state in a bid to capture power in the State.
