Bhitarkanika park, sanctuary to be closed for visitors till July 31

Kendrapara, April 30 (UNI) The Bhitarkanika National park/ Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary will remain closed for tourists and local public from May 1 to July 31 next.
The park and the sanctuary will be closed keeping in mind the breeding and nesting activities of Estuarine Crocodiles during this time, DFO of Mangrove Forest Division(Wildlife), Rajnagar Jangyadatta Pati said.
During this ban period, the visit of the tourists will be restricted in the crocodile infested areas at Bhitarkanika , Dangamala and Ragadapati forest blocks under Bhitarkanika.
