Heat wave condition likely to prevail in Odisha till April 30 next

Bhubaneswar, April 27 (UNI) Life was affected as heatwave like condition continued to grip almost all parts of Odisha.
People were forced to remain indoor and the roads wore a deserted look after the maximum day temperature crossed 44 degree Celsius in four towns, above 40 degree Celsius in 24 towns and 11 towns recorded a maximum day temperature of 43 degree Celsius and above on Wednesday.
Meanwhile the Meteorological department here predicted there would be no respite from heat till April 30 and heatwave condition is likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Sundergarha, Jharsuguda, Deogarha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanja, Anugul, Sambalpur, Baragarha, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir till April 29 and over the districts of Sundergarha, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Baragarha, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir and Kalahandi till April 30 next .
