Depression to intensify into deep depression, Met predicts heavy rains in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 22 (UNI) The well-marked low-pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal has concentrated into a depression over northwest and adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal and it is very likely to intensify further into a deep depression during next 24 hours.
It is likely to move north northwestwards and cross West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh coasts, as a deep depression between Sagar islands (West Bengal) and Khepupara ( Bangladesh)over Sunderbans by October 23 next.
Under its impact heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over several districts in Odisha during next two days.

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Despite best efforts made by Election Commission and appeals from top leaders and celebrities, poll percentage in first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar could reach only 48.23 per cent, which is 5.24 per cent less than polling of 2019 general elections in the state.
