Lightning kills 5 in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Jul 9 (UNI) Five people including four women lost their lives as lightning fell under separate districts in the state.
In Lohardaga at Semartoli village, a woman identified as Amrita Oraon (40) died as lightning struck while she was working in the field. In the second incident lightning struck at Kutum village in which Vishwajeet Oraon (32) was seriously injured as lightning struck. He was rushed to the Sadar Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
A report from Godda said that couple of women identified as Chiliya Devi (32) and Dharmi Devi (41) died as lightning struck in Kusumghati under Lalmatia Police Station area. Both of them had gone to graze cattle when the lighting fell killing the duo on the spot.
