Shootout at CISF barrack at Indian Museum, one personnel killed

Kolkata, Aug 6 (UNI) A CISF trooper was reportedly killed on Saturday evening when a shootout happened at the CISF barrack inside the Indian Museum, official sources said.Sources said CISF ASI Ranjit Sarangi was pronounced dead at the SSKM hospital where he was taken after being shot on his head. Another CISF personnel was also wounded in the shootout.
Sources said a CISF trooper was said to have been holding his service weapon AK-47 inside the barrack, when the combat force of CISF and Kolkata Police led by the city police commissioner went inside to locate the suspect in the shootout.
It was not immediately known what led to the shootout.
