Most of the academicians, NGOs and senior citizens favour opening up of Shri Jagannath Temple for devotees

Puri, Oct 15 (UNI) Most of the academicians, NGOs and senior citizens today expressed their views in favour of opening of Shri Jagannath temple for devotees.
During a meeting with the Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishna Kumar through virtual conference today, they said the temple had remained closed for more than seven months and it should be opened for devotees under the Covid 19 guidelines.
Dr. Kumar had interacted with office bearers of Daitapati, Chunara, Paniapat, Akhand Mekap, Sudhasuar and Muduli the eight nijogs of the temple yesterday. He too sought opinions of pundits of Muktimandop.
