Indian Railways made investment of Rs 27,000 cr in North East projects

Guwahati, Jul 19 (UNI) Indian Railways has made an investment of over Rs 27,000 crore in North East Projects in last six years.
“In last 6 years, Rs 27,655 crore of Capital Investment was made by Indian Railways in North East Projects which is 160% more than the capital investment of Rs 10,610 made during 2009-14,” a press statement said.
The major projects that were completed during this time include Bogibeel Rail cum Road Bridge: 5 km Bogibeel Rail cum Road Bridge across river Brahmaputra commissioned and dedicated to the Nation by Prime Minister in December 2018.
