Solar power generation at Asansol shed would save ER Rs 67,000 per year

Asansol, Aug 24 (UNI) A unit of 3KW solar power generation system was today inaugurated at newly constructed green building in MEMU shed/Asansol by Eastern Railway's additional general manager S S Gehlot.
The basic objective of this solar power generation system was to meet the electricity supply of the green building of the MEMU shed. This project will save approximately 23 KWH per day, that is 8,395 KWH (kilo watt hour) per year.
The system is capable of catering to a total energy consumption of the building approximately saving Rs 67,000 per year.
